It’s instructive to note that, of the many successful screenwriters I’ve talked to and worked with, there is one common mindset among all of them.It’s even more interesting that this particular mindset is missing from the less successful writers I talk to.And to be clear, the successful writers I know, developed this mindset well BEFORE they became successful. So they didn’t BECOME successful because they had agents at one of the top 5 agencies.In fact, many successful writers didn’t even have agents when they hit it big. It’s not that they have family connections to the business. Nope, most of them are like you and me. Starting from the bottom, with no one to help us.In fact, it wasn’t even because they are brilliant writers!I actually know writers who are absolute GENIUSES when it comes to penning screenplays… and yet they are no closer to success then rank amateurs.
